"Mary Modern" --by Camille DeAngelis
One of the technicians was reading this book, and the blurb made me curious. When I was in the library a few weeks ago, I found it and decided to check it out. It is definitely a weird book, and deals primarily with the issue of cloning. The part of the book that bothered me the most was when the main character compared her DNA to that of her grandmother and found 97% matching...and seemed to feel that that was normal. Unless there is serious inbreeding in the family (which, in part, was true), that is not appropriate. There were a few other discrepancies that seemed unlikely to happen in real life. But the plot was relatively good. I'm not sure that I'd read it again, but it was interesting and different.
